The Green Cow Opens!!!!

My day tasting at new Farm Shop The Green Cow, in Bridgnorth, has been a good day, I have especially enjoyed getting the cows wondering round getting people tasting my Chutney & Pickled Onions, although the udders did freak me out abit!!!

The Green Cow has been opened by Gregg, Sally and Angie who after several months of deliberation and market research decided to embark on their quest to open a fine foods retail outlet and a cafe with home cooked foods! Their aim is to offer locally sourced (wherever possible) , high quality food at reasonable prices.

I have spent the last couple of days at Amerton Farm & Craft Centre, Staffordshire, very busy couple of days, my personal highlight having a wondered around the wildlife animal rescue centre!!

Pumpkin Season - The Harvest

Its been a bumper year for pumpkins and after a late start have managed to grow and harvest a good crop!!

Apart from a couple of the larger pumpkins kept back for some Halloween carving fun the pumpkins have now been turned into our most savoury Chutney - Spicy Pumpkin Chutneys, which with its infusion of Coriander makes a perfect accompaniment to Curry dishes.

Heart of England Fine Foods Distribution Service Goes Live, which means our products are now available through Heart Distribution which currently deliveries local producer's products to retailers across the midlands.

Poutry, Ducks & Geese go Free Range

In June our Poultry, Ducks & Geese moved to pastures new just up the road, although we miss them wondering round the garden, they are more than happy wondering round there new home & we have had room to cultivate our own crop of pumpkins, which are growing well.

A Break from Production

Following a quiet August we escaped to the parents in Treyarnon Bay, Nr Padstow, Cornwall to part take in some adventurous activities in the form of sea kayaking which netted a substantial catch of Mackerel, Our boy Ben was very confused by the whole episode but was intrigued by the fish guts!!

Well it was a wet day so we were inside, but it was busy, so much so at times we couldn't move!!

The Tasting session went well, with lots of positive feedback & we now look forward to working with Greenfields who will be starting to stock some of our range.

New additions to the the Dentith Family!!

Our Goslings Hatched Today, we look forward to them getting bigger & becoming our Guard Dog & Lawn Mower.

Its going to be interesting to see if they make a better Guard Dog than our Dalmation Ben (personally I think the Geese will win hands down!!!!)

Ready for Christmas we attended a Christmas Food Tasting Event at Buttercross Farm, Market Drayton, Staffordshire to showcase our product to our new Stockist.
